5 tips that help you feel beautiful before bed (below)
- ย Make your room a relaxing space๐ญ Trust me when I say that if your room is cluttered, then
your mind will be too. Clear your space as nicely as you can, and add any more
blankets or pillows to your bed to make it cosy. Light your favourite scented
candles! They create a relaxing mood for your room, as well as a beautiful
smell. My favourite is the Vanilla and Caramel Triple Scented Candle by
Glasshouse Fragrances. Itโs the nicest feeling to walk into your room and be
comforted by your favourite scent.
- Soak in the bath๐ญ
Add some product to your bath (I recommend The Aromatherapy Coโs body wash) to soften your skin. Who doesnโt feel beautiful when their skin is supple and smooth? The heat will also naturally relax your muscles to help you sleep.
- Moisturise ๐ญ The right moisturizer or lotion before bed soothes your skin after the impact of the day. I use the Aroma Actives Essentials Repairing Body Lotion. This lotion makes your skin really soft, and also smells like youโve just been wandering around a field of roses. Dreamy.
- Dress in nightwear that makes you feel lovely๐ญ Whether that may be your cutest matching pyjamas, silk set, nightgown or nothing at all! The most important thing is that you feel comfortable and beautiful. You deserve it.
- Read a novel or meditate ๐ญ Reading a couple of chapters of a novel is a wonderful way to wind down. Using technology before bed is what keeps the mind more awake, making it harder for you to register the need to sleep. Reading is a more natural, relaxing form of entertainment for your brain; its nice to let your mind feel beautiful too. Meditating is also another great option. You can find many meditation sessions on YouTube that will talk you through an exercise, or you can choose one without words and just your favourite sounds. Ocean sounds or forrest sounds are super natural and relaxing!
